At Leigham Practice our advanced and award-winning therapists are Physiotherapists are highly experienced and trained to Masters Level, meaning we treat problems from the small and niggly, up to complex and persistant problems.
Anna Starczewska MSc, MCSP
Anna has a Masters degree in physiotherapy and therefore has an extraordinary understanding of the underlying issues related to stress and tension in the body. Her skills cover techniques used for sports, deep tissue, rehabilitation, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and techniques during pregnancy.
Anna is also highly experienced using Low Level Laser Therapy and ultrasound to accelerate healing and repair without pain or side effects, reducing pain and restoring functioning as quickly as possible.
Silvana Skotiniyadis BSc (Hons), MCSP
Since starting her physiotherapy studies back in 2011, Silvana has worked in several major hospitals working with problems relating to sport injuries, musculo-skeletal problems, back pain, trauma, orthopaedics and neurology.
Silvana has been at King’s College Hospital since 2018 where she is one of the hospital’s Senior Physiotherapists. Besides a broad range of general physiotherapy techniques and skills, Silvana develops programs for recovery from surgery particularly of the hip and knee.
Christy Walklin BSc (Hons), MCSP
Christy provides a wide range of physiotherapy for most muscular and skeletal conditions, but he is also a sports specialist. He has previously worked with Crystal Palace Football Club Academy and currently works with Hockey Wales National Age Groups providing total support, from pitch side treatment, trauma management, active recovery sessions and warm downs to U21, U18 and U16 boys team at home and on tour.
Christy has also had core rotations in the fields of paediatrics, elderly care and treats chronic pain and shoulder rehab.
Chris Beggs BSc (Hons), MCSP
Following on from a background in sports and remedial massage and manipulation, Chris qualified with 1sr degree honours in physiotherapy from King’s College London and has wide range of general and specialist MSK physiotherapy. He has worked as a physiotherapist at the world renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, helping patients recover from trauma and orthopaedic procedures and rehabilitation following stroke.
Chris is presently Team Lead physiotherapist in the highly specialised Trauma & Orthopaedic department at St Thomas’s Hospital, and works with rehab, persistent pain, fracture and healing.
