Your First Visit

You can rely on Leigham Practice to stay current and keep people safe. We are an experienced bunch, and one of the few businesses to remain open throughout the initial lockdown. We continued to offer our services and support patients when there was nowhere else to turn to and we have developed into a more confident, more safe and better prepared practice that will continue to be here when you need us.

Chronic Health

Chronic conditions are any long-term medical conditions that are not life-threatening, but for which there is no long-term cure. Our Acupuncture Team can provide relief of symptoms, improvements in function and ultimately a better quality of life.

Women’s Health

Acupuncture is known to have wide-reaching physiological effects, together with psychological and emotional effects, which are essential components of recovery, relief and well-being. Because of the holistic approach, which takes into account the person as a whole, acupuncture can also offer treatment for a range of different conditions at the same time.

Fertility & IVF

Our team has been offering fertility and pregnancy acupuncture for over 30 years combined experience and has additional skills, such as a postgraduate qualification in gynaecology, fertility and obstetrics acupuncture, naturopathy to degree level, nutritional advice up to Masters Level and personal IVF experience.

Pregnancy Acupuncture

Pregnancy is a time of big changes, both physically and emotionally. Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment tool at all stages of pregnancy and can offer you drug-free relief for a wide range of conditions that are often seen as part of normal pregnancy. There is increasing research evidence to support its benefits and, best of all, it is safe for baby.

Skin & Rejuvenation

Our team offers Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (FRA); a treatment that has snowballed in the last few years, as research confirms acupuncture’s success while problems with chemical and surgical methods are raised. Our experienced acupuncture team and use their skills in a wide range of therapies, including naturopathy, to offer a blend of holistic care not found elsewhere.

Laser Acupuncture

Leigham Practice has been using Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for over 20 years treating a wide variety of health problems and is one of London’s most experienced centres in what is now one of the fastest growing sectors of healthcare.

Is acupuncture a complimentary or alternative medicine?

At Leigham Practice, we consider acupuncture strictly complimentary, in that we work alongside traditional Western medicines to give you the best possible results. Of course, we will always aim to reduce the amount of drugs that are taken, since many have side effects, and sometimes herbal medicines may work better for your symptoms. We also aim to reduce both the reliance on drugs and the reliance on treatment, including acupuncture by providing the longest possible benefits. We are sometimes asked to discuss care or medication with a GP or consultant, and are happy to do so, but we also respect that your care with our practice remains should private and confidential unless you would like us to communicate with someone else.
