BOTOX AND OTHER BOTULINUM INJECTIONS IN STREATHAM, LONDON

Our practice

Leigham Practice has a thirty-year reputation for providing exceptional care from exceptional therapists, like Jing Ye, has been with us many years and specialises in aesthetic acupuncture and injectables, offering a range of treatments to improve confidence and appearance.

Our treatment

Botulinum injectables, such as Botox and other brands, provide temporary and reversible nerve blocks for the relaxation of muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines or reduce excessive perspiration.

People wanting a quick, non-invasive procedure would benefit from this type of treatment, as would those looking for affordable options. Botox has become significantly more affordable over the last 15 years, meaning treatment is within reach for most people, although Jing offers options of other brands.

Action of treatment

These treatments are types of temporary nerve block. Stress and tension build up in muscles and can lead to new lines or exaggerate existing lines, so relaxing muscles lead to a smooth contour of the face and more youthful appearance.

Where Botox is used to control excess sweating, it works by blocking the nerves that control sweating and so reduces perspiration.

Our aesthetic professional

Jing Ye trained as a medical doctor in China before taking up a special interest, initially in acupuncture and then aesthetics, and has been treating patients for over 20 years. Jing has certification for a wide range of aesthetic and injectable products to help to restore a youthful appearance and confidence.

Method of treatment

Jing carefully assesses all potential clients to check that they are suitable for treatment and to understand what the client expects to achieve. If treatment is appropriate, Jing can discuss the areas requiring treatment, how many injections are needed in order to achieve the desired effect and where they will be given. The needles she uses are very fine, and treatment is not usually painful.

If you were to find that the injection was uncomfortable, Jing can apply a surface analgaesic cream to numb the skin.

Intervals between treatments

The benefit of treatment can vary from 2 to 6 months, but typically lasts between 3 to 4 months. Jing usually recommends having a follow-up appointment around this time, though you may also contact her sooner, or put back this appointment if treatment is still working well.

Either way, you can make an appointment when you feel the time is right, so we see you at the optimal time for a review.

How to start treatment

Just book an assessment with Jing to discuss the possibilities and options available. Jing can explain the areas or treatment necessary and how many injections might be necessary to achieve the desired result. The assessment lasts 15 minutes and is just £25.

If you decide to proceed with any procedures, the assessment fee can be redeemed against the cost of your treatment.

What areas can we treat?

Potentially anywhere that relaxing underlying muscles can improve the appearance of the skin. Typically, cosmetic treatment is given to the face and neck bands, and it is also used for slimming the jaw, shoulder, and neck.

With perspiration, usually under the arms being the main area targeted to reduce excessive perspiration.

If you have questions about other areas, just contact us and we’ll ask the team if it’s something we can help.

Who is unsuitable for treatment?

There are some obvious medical and health problems that can mean this type of treatment is not recommended, such as an allergy to the medication, during pregnancy, or for patients with some neuromuscular disorders, but Jing can discuss other aspects of health with you during your assessment to ensure treatment goes smoothly and, of course, if you have any particular issues you can also get in touch and we can try and answer these for you.

Is there downtime after treatment?

Treatment rarely involves any downtime and Jing can offer advice and care leaflets, showing you how to care for your skin and increase the time your treatment lasts.
