When nail problems are difficult to self-manage, the Podiatry Team at Leigham Practice can offer both long-term care, or a long-term solutions for troublesome toe nails.
“Just Nails” Nail-Cutting Service
As we get older our toe nails seem to get further away, and cutting toe nails are a challenge for many. There are a huge number of problems that can prevent you from reaching the nails – muscle and joint problems affecting the ability to reach, problems with vision, problems with muscle control, grip, power, and so many more. Our podiatrists see many patients whose problems are exclusively problems with self-care of their nails and we offer a service called “Just Nails“.
In the first instance, all patients who feel they may be suitable should make a normal podiatry appointment, so our team can perform an assessment of the foot health and general health. This initial assessment, which includes treatment, is our standard clinical appointment fee of £55 for new patients, and £52 for our existing patients.
Where a patient has been assessed and found to be suitable for the Just Nails service, a note will be made on their record, and the patient advised to mention the Just Nails service when they next need treatment so they will be charged a reduced fee of £38 for future appointments. Please note, this service may not be suitable for ingrown nails, or complex nail problems, which your podiatrist can discuss at your assessment.
This service was originally intended for some of our retired patients to offer a simple service at a more affordable price, though this service may be suitable for anyone who requires only work to their nails. Simply make a normal podiatry appointment with one of our team and ask about our Just Nails service.
