If you are looking for permanent hair removal, electrolysis remains the only way to achieve this.

Currently doing a Electrolysis therapy and I am very excited by the results after just three sessions. Elena is amazing and so is the lovely girl at reception. High standard and great service – Ms. U

Initial Assessment

Elena offers assessments on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, which is completely free. She can then discuss your suitability for electrolysis, to assess the type of treatment and the number of treatments she feels may be required, and also to answer any questions you may have.

Please be aware, Elena is a careful and thorough beauty professional and needs to assess your skin and hair for herself before starting your treatment. She cannot rely upon your previous experiences with other therapists, however please be aware that her assessment is free and if you would like time to be available for treatment at the same time as you assessment please mention this at the time of booking.

How many treatments are required?

Effective electrolysis is not a single treatment, as the number of treatments required varies with each client. Elena will be able to provide an estimation of how many treatments she feels may be required at your initial consultation. The type of hair growth and area being treated, as well as previous use of temporary hair removal methods and other factors will all affect the treatment.

Are all hairs eliminated in one treatment or can I expect regrowth?

Deep, course hairs cannot always be eliminated with one treatment and breaking down the hair growth may require further treatment, however this will become clear during your assessment and we will draw your attention to any problem areas that arise and discuss how we think this will affect you.

Can women have electrolysis treatments during pregnancy?

The effects of electrolysis are entirely local and can be performed on any normal skin, and this includes pregnant women. It is generally considered safe, however you may wish to seek the advice of your GP before beginning treatment.

What does electrolysis feel like?

Most clients find electrolysis to be fairly comfortable. A short stinging sensation may be experienced when the current is administered to the hair follicle.

What equipment do you use?

We use the SX-B Blend Epilator – the very latest and safest technology from the leading electrolysis equipment manufacturers, Sterex International. Although your suitability for electrolysis is checked beforehand, and problems are very rare, our clinic is one of the few that has the backup and support of Low Level Laser Therapy to handle any unexpected issues.

When do you offer electrolysis?

Elena attends Leigham Practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Really professional and experienced therapist, plus great receptionists! I had a consultation first with Elena regarding electrolysis, and then I’ve been coming for 15 minute sessions each week (4 so far). It has removed the unwanted hair on my chin and so I have now started on my upper lip. She’s answered all my questions and is so skilled and quick. Laser at a different clinic didn’t work and this is money much better spent! – Ms C
